Breathwork   Pranayama

Breathwork is a discipline that brings awareness to the breath and countless health benefits thanks to specific Breathing techniques that target specific needs.                                                                                               I teach this practice using the Pranayama system that has been practiced in India for thousands of years. ( Prana in Sanskrit means “ sacred life force”  and Pranayama is the control of Prana, the life-force, the most important ingredient of the air that enters the body )                                                                                                     The practice of pranayama in yoga is crucial to preserve good health as allow us to properly oxygenating the entire respiratory system.                                                                                                                                               Pranayama has been proved therapeutic in response to stress, anxiety and depression related conditions ( as it relax the nervous system and bring calmness in the mind ) and  has been proved to be efficient in the management of other health conditions like asthma, bronchitis, insomnia, headaches, as well as improvement of blood pressure and circulation, muscle tone, immune system  etc…                                           In Breathwork in addition to Pranayama we also deepen the practice of meditation that helps us to cultivate awareness, harmony and serenity in our minds and within, and therefore interrupting the feelings of stress. As a result this magical combination will not only be beneficial for our mental health, but also will increase hugely our potential for physical health.                                                                                                          My classes are designed to the needs of the individual or group using specific Pranayama techniques to target these needs.
